Privacy
This notice explains what personal data is processed when you visit imobabics.com, and why. I keep this to the minimum needed to run the site.

Hosting and server logs
The site is run by an external hosting provider acting on my behalf. When you open a page, your browser sends technical data such as your IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer and browser type. The provider processes this to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Analytics
I use a self-hosted instance of Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, running on infrastructure provided by Railway Corporation (USA). Umami sets no cookies and does not build profiles of individual visitors. It records aggregate information such as pages viewed, referrer, country, device type and clicks on links. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Fonts
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). To deliver them, your browser connects to Google's servers, which transmits your IP address to Google. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a consistent presentation of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Images
Some logos and images are served from GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA). Loading them transmits your IP address to GitHub.
Videos
Videos are embedded through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com, Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you click play. Once you play a video, YouTube processes data such as your IP address and may set cookies under its own privacy policy.
Contact by email
If you email me, I process your address and the content of your message to reply. I keep it only as long as needed for the conversation. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.
Links to other sites
Links to LinkedIn, publications and other sites only take effect when you click them. From then on, the privacy policy of that site applies.
Transfers outside the EU
Some of the providers above are based in the USA. Where data is transferred there, this relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise these rights, email hello@imobabics.com.
